Conducted pre-feasibility study for upgrading cotton seed industry and ABA collaborated with a team comprising a breeder, an entomologist, and a production expert, and conducted the ground analysis. Based on ABA’s recommendation, the three competing textile companies have come together and invested to set up a commercial seed company.
ABA undertook a trade competitiveness study across India and Nepal for Winrock to develop a business case for strengthening private sector linkages. The study aimed to understand the competitiveness of growing fine varieties of rice, corn, and wheat, examining cost of production, subsidies, and processing infrastructure across Nepal and India’s bordering states (Uttar Pradesh and Bihar).
